November Energy and The External

Nothing external has any power over you.

— Ralph Waldo Emerson —

As Stephen Covey noted in his life-changing book, “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People,” we all have a circle of influence, and we all have a circle of concern.

The people, things, and situations in our circle of influence may be changed or adjusted because of our influence.

The people, things, and situations in our circle of concern will not be changed or adjusted because of our concern. In fact, our concern only changes us because getting concerned and angry or fretting over something we have no control is a huge energy drain.

One of the reasons I got off of Facebook for several months is that I got concerned over people, things, and situations in which I had no control or influence.

B.T.W…I created a new Facebook account for true friends only. I have 2300 fewer “friends” on my new account when compared to the old, and my “concerns” have decreased dramatically. 🙂

Since I consider all of my EagleLaunch readers friends, please reach out and friend me on my new account, J.J.Meyer.

Ephesians 4:31-32, “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
