Heavy Lifts

It's not the load that breaks you down, it's the way you carry it.

For the past few months, I’ve been battling some back issues.

Long story short, I found my back issues were caused by how I was lifting and holding Jordan while performing various care duties for him throughout the day.

Once I adjusted my technique to handle him, my back issues have disappeared.

That’s how it is with most “heavy lifts” in life.

It’s not so much how “heavy” the “lifts” are that gets us down, but how we choose to carry them.

The weight of whatever you are “lifting” at this moment in time will be lessened significantly by simply adjusting your technique–a technique that most importantly includes asking God to take your “heavy lift” from you.

Matthew 11:28-30, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

“It’s not the load that breaks you down, it’s the way you carry it.”
