Reflection:
I was fortunate-or maybe doomed—to have a dad who introduced me to golf at a very young age. Blessing or curse? Still up for debate. 🙂
Golf is a strange and beautiful game—so many moving parts, both body and club, all aimed at sending a little white ball to a distant target.
Years ago, I read golf teaching legend Harvey Penick’s Little Red Book, and one piece of wisdom stuck with me: “Take Dead Aim.” Lock in on your target with full commitment. Eliminate distractions—silence doubt.
When I do that on the course, my game holds up. When I don’t… well, let’s say the ball has a mind of its own.
Resilience is forged when we stay focused—and focus demands a clear target.
The sharper our focus, the less distracted we are, and the better we become at living a life on target.
Soul Search:
What’s trying to distract or discourage you? How can you stay focused and take dead aim at your God-given purpose daily?
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 3:14
