Grateful For Health

So many people spend their health gaining wealth, and then have to spend their wealth to regain their health.

Most of you know I enjoy competing in the sport of triathlon. Because of this hobby, I need to stay in shape which creates a need to train on an almost daily basis.

I found a long time ago that working out was great for my mental and emotional well-being…both of which I must pay attention to on an daily basis.

Every time I complete a workout I point to the heavens and thank God for my health. Ever since I got my stuff back together several years ago, I’ve never taken my health for granted.

I pray every morning for a handful of people battling health challenges right now…another reason I am very grateful for my health.

For the life of me, it’s never made sense to lose health while chasing wealth (see opening quote). We’ve only been given one body and we need to take care of it.

Wealth is way overrated, health is not.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20, “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?  You are not your own, for you were bought with a price.  So glorify God in your body.”
