The opening quote reminded me of an incident that took place about a week ago.
As Lori and I arrived at our house a few hours after her dad’s funeral, we both noticed someone had added a healthy portion of freshly cut firewood to our stack of “winter warmth.”
We looked at each other and smiled and said, “Terry was here!” Terry is our neighbor and has done a lot of kind gestures over the years that we never forget.
It’s amazing how a stack of firewood can brighten one’s day.
No matter how big or small your gift may be to another–it is always just right if it brightens their day.
Luke 6:38, “Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”
