Worth Knowing

Seek to be worth knowing, rather than to be well known.

Great quote!

I remember years ago when I was sarcastically joking with a friend about how well known he had become.  He reminded me that he hadn’t quite reached the top yet…I was joking and he was dead serious.  As he continued to do whatever it took to become famous, our friendship slowly disintegrated and went away.

Chasing fame and fortune is a fleeting and sometimes dangerous proposition which often creates unanticipated as well as unintended collateral damage to those who are closest to us.

Instead of chasing fame what if you got up every day chasing the best you you can possibly become?

The best man or woman of God you can be.

The best wife or husband you can be.

The best mother or father you can be.

The best friend you can be.

The best leader you can be.

If you do this, there will be little time to waste on becoming well known…and more people will want to know you.

“Anyone can be successful at the expense of others.  True success benefits others.”
