Matthew 6:27, “Can all our worries add a single moment to your life?” (NLT)
Nothing gets in the way of personal progress more than worry. Although worry is simply a part of being human, what we do with the worry has much to do with our spiritual condition. The devil is always lurking and looking for a chink in our armour and knows worry is one of those chinks that will allow him to slither through and end up inhabiting space in our brain.
When worry is stunting your growth, the only answer is God.  Throughout the Bible there are stories of God always overcoming evil. If we know God trumps the devil and his evil schemes 100% of the time then we need to always turn to God when worry is attempting to immobilize us. Worry often turns into a habit and one of the best ways to stop a habit is to replace it with a new habit. Try replacing your worries with prayer. If you are new to prayer, understand God is always listening and can interpret what you are saying through your heart…there is no right or wrong way to pray…whatever you are feeling…say it to God.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, do not depend on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5.
“Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand…” Philippians 4:6-7
And, as my AA sponsor always told me, “If you pray why worry, if you worry why pray?”
