The opening quote comes from a Christmas gift my wife gave me, The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse. It’s written the way I love to write—simple, and a tad bit deep. Short lines. Big truth. Even the illustrations slow you down just enough to let the wisdom sink in (which helps those of us with a shorter attention span).
One line from the horse stopped me cold: we’re all just winging it. And it’s true. Perfectionism, comparison, and a limited mindset don’t protect us—they paralyze us. Progress doesn’t come from having it all figured out. It comes from taking the next step.
If you want to do something or become something, it really comes down to two moves: start and continue. Everything else is learning on the fly while winging it with faith, courage, and consistency.
Most meaningful things in life don’t begin with certainty; they start with a willing heart and the courage to take that first imperfect step…I always write from experience.

- What is one action I can take today to start doing what I want?
2 Corinthians 12:9, “But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
