So many people go through life with their hands, heads, eyes, ears and hearts closed to others. It is a form of bondage to self.
I’ve been blessed to have experienced many great things in my life but next to the joy I experience when I am with my Lord and/or my family there is nothing more liberating and joyful than helping my fellow man, especially when he or she is in need.
Sharing is liberating and is what God wired us to do. Freedom is the natural consequence of sharing. Whereas bondage to self is the natural consequence of selfishness.
“When we meet up with God in heaven he is not going to give a hoot about what we did on earth if what we did on earth did not include helping our brothers and sisters.” ~Jay Meyer…you can take this quote to the bank!
So, with that being said, if you died today will God give a hoot about your accomplishments on earth?
