Psalm 138:6, “Though the Lord is great, he cares for the humble, but he keeps his distance from the proud.”
This is very powerful scripture written through David. In order to stay close to God we must humble ourselves.
The best way this blogger with an ego that is just waiting to take things over remains humble, is to give God all the glory for the victories in my life and to seek God’s help and strength to handle the battles. Keeping ME out of the equation keeps me humble. And if you read the verse above one more time it is easy to figure out that it isn’t God who chooses to keep his distance from us when we are proud and ego-driven. Instead it is us who choose to keep our distance from God, due to our pride and ego.
