Â
The other day I was watching the Turner Classic Movie channel and they were doing a spotlight on the life of Fred MacMurray. Depending upon your age you may remember Mr. MacMurray’s role as the dad in “My Three Sons.†MacMurray was one of Hollywood’s best as he was in over 100 movies in his career.
At the end of the documentary they were talking with MacMurray’s daughter (he passed away in 1991), and they asked her what she admired most in her dad. Without hesitation she said, “My dad knew who he was.â€
When I heard that, I thought to myself, “Wow I would love for my kids to feel that way about me.â€
Do you know who you are?
For a while I was a child, then a teen and then a young adult. I was also a son and a brother as well as a friend and foe to others. I was a basketball player a pharmacist a husband and a dad. Then due to some poor choices I become a drug addict, a liar, a cheater, and a thief.
Then just as I was about to become whatever my gravestone would say about me, I found whose I was.
More to follow on Thursday…tomorrow is a special post you don’t want to miss.
Galatians 3:28, “In Christ’s family there can be no division into Jew and non-Jew, slave and free, male and female. Among us you are all equal. That is, we are all in a common relationship with Jesus Christ.†(MSG)
