Whipping the devil – Day 31 – Comfort

“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.”  ~Neale Donald Walsch

Yesterday I wrote on ruts which is another area the devil loves to get us to play/wallow in.

I received an email about yesterday’s “Ruts” blog:  “Jay, what would you identify as a rut?”

My response…verbatim:  “It is when you continue to do something you know you shouldn’t be doing or don’t want to be doing and it is superseding what you really aspire to be/do…there are physical, mental and spiritual ruts and all involve leaving comfort for positive change…hope some of this makes sense.”  🙂

The reader’s response:  darn.  I was afraid that was the answer.”

And yes, if you haven’t figured it out the devil loves for us to feel comfortable.

I once had a friend tell me how poor the work conditions were where he was working and I asked him, “why do you stay?”  He responded, “because at least I know what I’m getting, if I change jobs I don’t know what might happen.”

In essence for some people the devil has convinced them that misery is comfort.

Readers Beware!!!!  The devil is here to lie, cheat and steal!

The only good that comes out of misery is when you say “NO” to it and turn to the light.

Read and study the quote at the start of this blog and the scripture verses below and put into writing what you want your life to be and then Pray for it to happen, Picture it, Plan it and Practice it until the life God wants you to have begins to evolve and take shape…it works…I always write from my personal experiences.

The less comfortable I feel, the more comfortable my Lord and Savior is with my work here on earth.

Ephesians 5:8, “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.  Live as children of light.”
