Where You Start

Your present set of circumstances do not determine where you go; they only determine where you start.

Reflection

So many people get stuck in a circumstantial rut thinking, “there is no way out.”

While in a rut, we basically have two choices…

  1. We can keep on digging a deeper rut.
  2. We can begin building a ladder to assist us in climbing out of the rut.

Solution

The first rung of our “ladder” to better circumstances is an ongoing prayer to God asking Him to give us the desire and strength to do what we need to do to change our circumstances.

The second rung is to listen to Him.

The third rung is to do what He tells us to do.

Please note–God works through His people, so you will most likely not hear His voice when He tells you what to do but instead, He will put people in your path to help you.

Truth

If you are currently in a rut and are steadfast in praying for better circumstances, your “new start” is about to happen. Just keep your eyes, ears, and heart open.

My “start” was my rock bottom 34 years ago.

Since that point in my journey, I’ve continued to pray, listen and do…it works.

Jeremiah 33:3, “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”
