If the devil can’t get in your heart, he will certainly try his best to get in your head. ~Jay Meyer
Today we begin looking at the mental component of our Wheel of Life.

In early recovery I used to be reminded that my mind was like a bad neighborhood, I shouldn’t go there alone. No one knew that better than me as my best thinking had led me to a state of bankruptcy in all areas of my life by the time I was 29 years old.
Our mental state and the thoughts we allow ourselves to think, is powerful beyond comprehension. I could give you example after example of people I’ve helped who finally “got it,” once they realized they had a choice when it came to what type of thoughts they allowed to enter and reside in their heads.
Henry Ford once said, “Whether you think you can or you can’t – you are right.”
I believe when we try our best to walk with God and have Him at the heart/center/core of our Wheel of Life, this disappoints God’s adversary; the devil.  When we choose to keep the devil out of our heart he begins working on the second most powerful area of our Wheel of Life and that is our mental state.
When the devil can’t live in our heart, he will try his best to live in our head.
What does the devil trick you into thinking?
We will be spending a significant amount of time over the next few weeks looking at what it takes to get the devil out of our heads for good.
