Over the next few weeks we will be studying excerpts from my book, “FEAR – PROOF” as we look at how damaging fear can be to the Mental component of our Wheel of Life.
“If you want to continue to be mired in your own ‘junk’ spend more time taking inventory of others’ shortcomings instead of Your own. Â ~Jay Meyer
The need to judge others is born from a fear of not being good enough. In essence we judge others in order to make ourselves feel better about ourselves.
A paradox of a personality that often drives me crazy is the “Judgmental Christian.” Think of how foolish we look when we profess to be Christian yet waste time judging others. Sin is sin and until I have no sin I have no right to judge others.  I have enough work on my hands just trying to do the next right thing.
I also know I am on the downhill side of the fifty-year old hump in life and I’m running out of time. Â Judging others is a huge waste of time.
My role is to allow God to do the judging and me do the witnessing.
Matthew 7:1-2 (NIV), “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you.”
Additional Scripture to read and reflect upon:Â Romans 2:1, Romans 3:23, Matthew 7:3
What beliefs, thoughts and actions cause you to struggle with judging others?
