This is one of my all time favorite quotes. It is so powerful if we choose to believe it and live it.
Another fear we often experience is a fear of insignificance or a fear that what we are doing is not enough or things aren’t happening fast enough.
I often observe this fear of insignificance in people who are always in a hurry and getting ahead of God’s plan for them. They try to “muscle” their way to “instant significance” and often fail and begin second guessing themselves and their abilities…the devil loves for us to second guess and doubt our abilities.
Choose to make a difference by planting seeds today for harvests you may not see for years or harvests you may never see. It’s not about you, it’s about what God wants to do through you and God decides the right time.
I’ve always struggled with being in a hurry and wanting instant results. There are a couple of scripture verses that I read that usually calm me down and forces me to trust God’s timing:
Habakkuk 2:2-3, “And the Lord answered me: ‘Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.
Proverbs 16:2-3, “People may be pure in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their motives. commit your work to the Lord, and then your plans will succeed.”
James 1:22, “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”
