“The real measure of your wealth is how much you’d be worth if you lost all your money.” ~Unknown
This past weekend I delivered the message at our church, Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church. It was based upon my life story which involves more plots, twists and turns than any good drama movie but at the end of it all was my loving Father who took me back in His arms and nursed me through recovery so I could spread the Good News with others.
I know I’ve mentioned this before but this weekend simply verified to me what I already know and that is there is nothing more important in this life on earth than to follow the principles of our God as He laid them in each and every one of our hearts at birth and at the core of these principles is love.
Love of anything of the world is fleeting but love from God is steadfast and permanent and when our love and commitment to Him is the same, amazing things happen. Our love for Him is simply a beginning as this love then carries over into our most important relationships which are relationships with self, family, friends and ALL our neighbors. And yes…ALL means ALL.
A life rooted in love is where true wealth is found.
