Under Your Feet

The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance; the wise grows it under his feet.

— James Openheim —

I believe the “foolish man” Openheim is talking about is the person who seeks happiness through the “happenings” in his or her life…been there done that and have the stomach ulcer to prove it.

If you find yourself needing to buy happiness or making friends for happiness or being popular for happiness or simply looking anywhere other than under your feet for happiness…Houston, you have a problem.

Do you seek your happiness from a distance or are you able to simply be happy in the moment?  If you find yourself being “bi-polar” with your happiness you may want to quit relying on your “happenings” and start relying on your own spiritual condition which is not only right under your own feet but living inside your heart and soul.
