God’s Stage

God often showcases his power on the stage of human weakness.

Reflection

Over the past ten years, I’ve spent a significant amount of time helping individuals and organizations create strategic plans for their future.

When I facilitate these sessions, my role is to help the client look around corners, play chess instead of checkers and anticipate and prepare for what isn’t.

Occasionally we hit bumps in the road, and sometimes, the bumps seem as though they are twelve-foot-high concrete walls. In these instances, I have to help my client remove the wall, climb over it, or go in a different direction.

When we hit the “wall,” I always privately call upon my secret resource, e.g., the Lord, to help us decide what to do, and He has yet to let us down.

Questions

Have you ever come up against a wall in your life?

If so, have you prayed for God to give you instructions for what to do with the wall? He’s fantastic at knowing what is around the corner and creating what isn’t…I write from experience.

Fact

Suppose you are someone who has never called on God for help–no problems. Unlike any other relationship on earth, where it takes much time and effort to develop, we can instantly be in a relationship with God. He knows the situation we are facing and always has the answer…if we are willing to listen.

When I am weak…he is strong…2 Corinthians 12:9-10, “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
