Reflection
It would be really easy for me to be in a state of anxiety and stress right now.
Somewhere between 4 pm and 5 pm today, our daughter will form a covenant with the love of her life.
For over a year, I’ve squelched all anxiety about Michelle’s wedding with gratitude.
I won’t get into all the reasons why gratitude has trumped any and all anxiety associated with her wedding.
If you know my story, you know that I’m a lucky man and I never take for granted that God has allowed me to breathe air on His earth long enough to experience this grand occasion.
When life feels rushed, gratitude re-centers us.
Thankfulness reminds us of what truly matters and pulls our focus from what’s missing to what’s already been given.
Peace flourishes in a grateful heart…I always write from experience.

What am I grateful for today—even in the busyness?
Please say a prayer for Michelle and Austin as they begin their journey.
1 Thessalonians 5:18, “Give thanks in all circumstances.” (NIV)
