Truth and Life

To some the truth is an insult, to others life from the dead.

— Gary Amirault —

As I was reading my morning Proverb yesterday my focus remained upon Proverb 18:10, “The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.”

I jotted the following in my journal:

The paths of least resistance:

One is a lie

One is the truth

The path of the lie seems easy and provides energy and hope in the beginning but eventually the path narrows, darkens and ends.

The path of the truth seems hard, boring and even dark in the beginning but eventually broadens and grows in abundance and radiance and the end is eternal.

The path of the lie is carved by the devil and has been around for thousands of years.

The path of the truth is carved by God and has been around even longer.

It is your choice which path you choose and if you happen to be on the wrong path, God has already forgiven you and is always ready to assist you in getting on the right path.

I believe He allows us both paths to walk in order to truly appreciate the truth…once we find It…I write from experience.
