Let Go and Know Freedom

When you let go, you are truly free.

Reflection

This summer, I’ve decided to play a little more golf than I have in the past.

I figured there were only so many miles left in my legs and lungs when competing in triathlons, so I needed something to continue feeding my competitive fire.

Fact

Golf is best played when you gently grip the clubs.

Over-gripping the golf club can lead to golf elbow, which I’ve had and is quite painful and annoying.

Over-gripping people, places, and things in our lives can lead to becoming a control freak which is also quite painful and annoying, considering we have very little control over anything other than our attitudes and effort.

Back to the opening quote…

I’ve experienced true freedom many times over the years by letting go.

Question

Where are you over-gripping the “club” in your life?

Solution

Try letting go.

If you struggle with letting go, pray for God to give you the desire and willingness to let go.

Freedom awaits you.

Ephesians 4:31-32, “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
