A snap I took on October 17, 2023, at Serenity Acres…nature was just beginning to do its thing.
Reflection
Every fall, nature puts on an incredible display of change… we are lucky to live in a wooded area with a diverse array of tree species.
I am amazed at how the colors slowly yet quickly change from green to yellow, then to orange, and, if we are lucky, to red.
Without God’s timely change of nature, we would miss out on this beauty.
The same often holds true for us—His humans. Following His push for making changes in our lives often leads to something better and more beautiful.
Yet we often resist.
We want circumstances, relationships, routines, and sometimes even ourselves to remain comfortably familiar.
But life happens in seasons.
Something that served us well yesterday may not belong in tomorrow.
A door that once opened may close.
A dream may change.
Priorities shift.
God may begin stirring something new within us.
The question isn’t whether life will change.
It will.
The question is whether we will recognize the season we’re in and trust God enough to move through it gracefully… note to self.
Soul Search
What change might God be asking me to recognize instead of resist?
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1
