Reflection
Life is an endless journey.
I know; call me Captain Obvious.
During my early years of attending AA meetings, time and time again, someone would say, “Recovery is a journey, not a destination.”
Sometimes we get so locked into our destination(s) we fail to embrace all the lessons afforded to us from the journey.
Or worse yet, we get so fearful of not reaching our destination that we fail to take the first step on our journey.
You can’t go on a journey without taking the first step…another lesson I learned in recovery.
(The first step in overcoming an addiction is admitting we have a problem.)
Is God calling you to a journey?
Do you keep fearfully delaying the first step?
Make today the day you forget about any and all destinations and take the first step in opening your life to a new journey of lessons and growth.
The journey is the destination.
Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
