At the beginning of 2022, I decided it was time for me to read the Bible, from cover to cover, again.
I’m not entirely through the book of Genesis, and I’m already astonished at how differently my spirit is interpreting His Word this time around. It’s been about fifteen years since I’ve read the Bible, beginning to end.
The opening quote is undoubtedly accurate; at least it is for me.
When you read His Word, do you attempt to make it suit your beliefs, thoughts, and behaviors, or do you try to make your beliefs, thoughts, and behaviors suit His Word?
Hebrews 4:12, “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
