Know How To Love

It is a great art to have an abundance of knowledge and experience - to know the richness of life, the beauty of existence, the struggles, the miseries, the laughter, the tears - and yet keep your mind very simple; and you can have a simple mind only when you know how to love.

— Jiddu Krishnamurti —

Reflecting on the opening quote…

Many of the problems I created in my life were due to my unhealthy ways of dealing with my complicated mind coupled with a need to control and judge people and situations (due to fear and self-esteem issues).

It took me a long time to understand that I could disagree with someone or not like how they chose to live, but I could still love the person.

I’ve learned there is no better drug for a complicated mind than Love, just plain, simple, unconditional Love.

I’m still a work in progress…how about you?

1 Corinthians 13:4-7, “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.” (ESV)
