Plato’s quote has been speaking to us for several months, and finally, we began our life as “campers” by taking our first trip several weeks ago.
You may recall that Lori, Jordan, and I had visions of becoming “campers” late last summer, and we took our first step in achieving our vision by purchasing a motorhome.
After several dozen hours of watching Youtube videos and reading literature about camping, a couple of months ago, we took our second step in becoming “campers” by going to a campground and living for a few days.
AND
We can honestly and proudly say that we handled our biggest fear–our black water tank with perfection.
This weekend we are heading south on another camping trip to experience new adventures.
Experiencing new adventures is a great way to get the most out of life, and each new adventure has a new beginning.
Plato was so right.
What do you need to begin doing to achieve a vision God has laid on your heart?
Isaiah 43:18-19, “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

Plan – A dream/goal remains a dream until it is put into writing. Putting your dream or goal in writing is the first step in creating a PLAN to achieve it. When you fail to plan, you plan to fail.
Effort – Turning your dream/goal into reality requires a commitment to putting forth consistent and focused EFFORT toward the execution of your plan. Nothing great in life happens without working hard.
Attitude – Your chances of achieving your dream are exponentially increased if you believe you will achieve it. Always remember that your ATTITUDE determines your altitude in life.
Community – Nothing great in life happens by doing it alone. The chances of achieving your dream expand as your COMMUNITY of positive mentors and coaches expand. You become the average of the five people you spend the most time with…and yes, spending time with “people” through books and instructional videos factors into your average.
Energy – Chasing and achieving your dream requires optimal levels of mental, physical, and spiritual ENERGY. Put your dream in God’s hands and nurture your mental and physical being.
