The opening quote came to mind as I was observing and processing the Supreme Court hearing for Brett Kavanaugh. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, good for you! I (regretfully) happened upon the hearing while driving the bike course of Ironman Maryland for two hours a couple of weeks ago and couldn’t force myself to turn it off…drama is quite addicting.
The German statesman Konrad Adenaur said, “We all live under the same sky but we don’t all have the same horizon.”
Our horizons are created by what we are prepared to see. Those with open minds and open eyes see a whole lot more than those with closed minds and closed eyes.
Those with open minds and open eyes seem to have an abundance of serenity too…just saying.
