I enjoy watching the Olympics. Â My heart grows warm when I see an athlete stand atop the podium with a gold medal draped around her neck and tears flowing from her eyes.
I always wonder what the tears represent. Â I will never know.
I do know what the medals represent–hard work, discipline and lots of sacrifice.
With greatness comes great sacrifice, and great sacrifice involves denying ourselves of the short term good for the long term great.
