Recovery Month – Day 4 – One Day at a Time

One day at a time is not just a slogan, it’s a survival tool.

Reflection

Trying to live tomorrow today while carrying the backpack of yesterday is too heavy a load. Recovery is built on daily victories.

I used to fret over the past and worry about tomorrow, and would forget about today — the only day we have to live.

Today, I take pride in forgetting what I did yesterday and having to look at my calendar to remind myself of what I’m doing tomorrow, as I’m so focused on the present.

Soul Search

Am I trying to control tomorrow, or holding on to yesterday, instead of living in the present?

Matthew 6:34 – “Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.”
