Reflection
Rarely does someone get struck by a bolt of “God-lightning” and instantly discover their purpose. Out of the hundreds—maybe thousands—of conversations I’ve had with people sharing their dreams, I can only recall two true “instant God-purpose” moments. Both happened in their cars. The Holy Spirit so overcame them that they had to pull over, gather themselves, and say yes. One went on to build a thriving recovery program; the other opened a hair salon that’s become her ministry.
The truths are…
God rarely hands us the complete blueprint.
He reveals our purpose piece by piece—often in quiet, hidden seasons.
Jesus Himself spent three decades in relative obscurity before His public ministry.
Purpose grows in the dark as seeds do.
The hidden years aren’t wasted; they’re formative.
And if…
You’re in a season where nothing seems to be happening, take heart…God often does His deepest shaping where no one else sees…and the only way you realize He’s shaped you to fulfill His purpose for you…is to pause and look back…I always write from experience.

He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness.” — 1 Corinthians 4:5 (NIV)
