Prayer and Changing Me

I pray because the need flows out of me all the time, waking and sleeping. It doesn't change God. It changes me.

Reflection

Last week, my friend Reggie stepped into eternity.

When I heard the news, my heart filled with sadness and disbelief. She was too young, too full of energy, and too vibrant to be called to the eternal.

I so appreciate the prayers that flowed from EagleLaunch to her husband, family, and friends.

Prayer doesn’t always result in the outcome we are shooting for, but it certainly changes our state of mind when we are in the heat of the battle.

To the nonbeliever world, Reggie lost.

To the Christ-following world; Reggie received the ultimate prize.

Prayer changes the way I see things.

Keep changing yourself.

Keep praying.

Proverbs 15:29, “The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.”
