Pray

Our prayers may be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer is in the one who hears it and not in the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference.

— Max Lucado —

So much going through my mind.

Tuesday’s evil and senseless elementary school massacre has left me numb.

I have three beautiful granddaughters.

The oldest just started school this year.

School should be safe.

I can’t imagine.

And the poor friends and families who’ve had their worlds forever shattered and turned upside down.

There is so much I want to say, but it’s best not to write from a position of anger.

I’m praying.

Evil is trying to take us down.

I’m praying.

Divisiveness is evil.

Pray instead of being divisive.

I don’t know what to do.

So I pray.

Thank you, God, for listening.

Thank you, God, in advance, for answering prayers.

Mark 11:24, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

1 John 5:14-15, “And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests we have asked of him.”
