Plowing

Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

Maybe 2017 is the year you decide to step out of the boat and begin following a call from your heart, intuition, and Him.

The key to following your heart and intuition is to first create time to listen to each of them.  I also believe it is important to fill our heart and intuition with good stuff.  For me it comes in the form of prayer, scripture reading and ongoing conversation with the Holy Spirit.

Another key to following your heart and intuition is patience.  I see people jump from job to job, venture to venture and/or relationship to relationship, and by the time God is ready to use them, they are nowhere to be found…or God finds them but they are in no condition to carry out His work for Him.

Several years ago I remember praying fervently to God for an answer to a direction I thought I needed to go.  He guided me to Hosea 10:12, “Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers his righteousness on you.”

I read that scripture several times before it finally sunk in.  God was telling me to keep doing the next right thing in love while seeking Him and plowing my unplowed ground.  In other words I still had some work to do before He was ready to really use me.

Chase your heart and intuition with His wisdom as your guide.
