Being somewhat of a quote freak, one of my all-time favorite quotes is, “Courage is fear that’s been prayed for.”
I have a list of over sixty people I pray for every morning. All of them are facing some type of challenge whether it be addictions, life challenges or health challenges–seventeen of them are battling cancer. Although they all have different needs I pray an all-inclusive prayer for God to give them the courage to continue to forge ahead.
That list also serves as a great reminder to me that my challenges are nothing compared to theirs.
When faced with a challenging situation we are always going to have fear. What we do with it makes all the difference.
God wants to be the difference maker.
Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (ESV)
