Medicine For The Soul

A difficult time can be more readily endured if we retain the conviction that our existence holds a purpose – a cause to pursue, a person to love, a goal to achieve.

— John Maxwell —

Reflection

Maxwell’s quote is so true.

Having a purpose is so powerful.

A few days ago, I talked with our oldest, and he shared all the great things his three girls are doing. Without asking, I knew his purpose in his life was to be the best dad he could be for his girls.

Why did I know that?

His energy lifted every time he talked about them.

Having a purpose and living it is so powerful; it is medicine for the soul.

Questions

What are your passions?

Where can your gifts, strengths, and unique life experiences benefit the world?

What makes your heart smile?

Who needs you?

What purpose-driven medicine is your soul seeking?

Fact

Your purpose lies somewhere in the above four questions.

1 Corinthians 9:26, “So I run straight to the goal with purpose in every step.”
