Perseverance and Pressing On

Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence.

— Calvin Coolidge —

The longer I live, the more I see the truth in Calvin Coolidge’s famous quote:

Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence.

Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent.

Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.

Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

The slogan ‘press on’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.

If ever there has been a time to simply press on, one day at a time, it is now.

Regardless of the outcome of COVID-19, as Christians, we are guaranteed the ultimate “prize” for simply pressing on.

Philippians 3:14, “I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
