Perseverance and More Seeing

All I have seen teaches me to trust the Creator for all I have not seen.

— Ralph Waldo Emerson —

This is a continuation of yesterday’s post.

Have you ever been around someone who always seems to be at war with the world?

I know several people like that and they would most likely dispute the opening quote by Emerson.

In some ways, I used to be that person and still could be today…but for the grace of God.

When we open our eyes and look for God we will see Him and when we see Him, we see good.

The same holds true when looking for bad.

What are you seeing these days?

Holding onto what is good and Godly is a great way to persevere through life’s toughest challenges and hopefully, this current and quite difficult challenge called COVID-19 has caused you to develop an even firmer grip on your Creator.

I read the following Psalm every morning as a reminder that I need my desires to be His desires which causes me to hold onto him as firmly as I can.

3 Trust in the Lord and do good;
    dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Take delight in the Lord,
    and He will give you the desires of your heart.

5 Commit your way to the Lord;
    trust in him and he will do this:
6 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
    your vindication like the noonday sun.

A Psalm of David, 37:3-7

BTW…years ago I used to think verse four meant that he would fulfill my desires of my heart…I’ve come a long way.
