Prayer is a Nature Changer

The function of prayer is not to influence God, but rather to change the nature of the one who prays.

— Soren Kierkegaard —

I love the quote by Kierkegaard.

My nature has changed significantly since I began the daily habit of praying and trying my best to have conscious contact with God throughout the day.

I am not religious, but I do have a solid relationship with God.

As with any strong relationship, it requires trust.  Today I trust that God may not always give me what I want, but He will always give me what I need, and most of the time, I simply need the strength to get through whatever challenge I am facing and/or an attitude of patience and acceptance of His will for me.

Question

How is your “nature?”

Is it OK, or does it need adjusting?

Ephesians 6:18, “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.  With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”
