Maybe you’ve heard this imaginary heaven story before…
A few angels approached the throne and said, “Lord, there is a mortal on earth asking for your blessing on a project he is working on. Â How would you like to bless him?” Â The Lord asks, “What did he send his faith in?” Â The angels replied, “He sent his faith in a thimble.” Â The Lord responds, “Fill the thimble with blessings and send it back to him. Â According to his faith be it unto him.”
The angels came to the Lord again and said, “Another mere mortal is asking for blessings from you.” Again the Lord inquires, “What did he send his faith in?” Â The angels replied, “He sent his faith in a fifty gallon barrel.” Â With a smile the Lord responds, “Fill the barrel with blessings and send it back to him. According to his faith, be it unto him.”
The blessings in my life have grown proportionate to my faith. Â This doesn’t necessarily mean I’ve received more blessings because of my faith. Â I believe that to be partially true, but my faith has also opened my eyes to blessings my fears once blinded me to.
