Past is Past

One problem with gazing too frequently at the past is that we might turn around and find the future has run out on us.

— Michael Cibenko —

As we are about to start a new year it is important to move into 2016 without any extra baggage and there is no greater baggage than a past that has never been dealt with.  The past should be used only for helping us make a brighter future regardless of how ugly it may have been.

When I work with people and help them develop a strategic direction for their business or their lives, we take a look at the past.  We decide what we need to let go of and/or stop doing and then we create a new path into the future.

Prior to making new goals for 2016, take an honest look at your past because a past not dealt with will continue to deal you the cards you will have to play in the present.
