Obscure/Relevance Topic:  Experience

Today we got to experience Hubbard Glacier.

Lori and I stood on the bow of our cruise ship as it ever so slowly cut its way through small icebergs to the Hubbard Glacier.

Eventually we were within a half mile of the glacier and absorbed an experience like no other.

We saw.  We heard.  We felt.  We absorbed its icy scent.

We gathered all aspects of Hubbard’s amazing personality in an incredible moment during a most incredible experience.

Experience happens when we let go and take in our surroundings even if we only have a moment to do so.

So many of us go through life…yep…we simply go through it.

Drivers go through life one check mark on the “to do” list at a time.

Addicts go through life one fix at a time.

Control freaks go through life one conquest at a time.

Bullies go through life one victim at a time.

…and so it goes.

Hubbard Glacier will forever serve as a reminder to me about the beauty in experiencing life as it is…no need to drive, control, bully, medicate…simply live life one experience at a time.

Highlight of the day:  Getting within a half mile of Hubbard was truly a blessing and not a given for most cruise ships.  The weather and floating icebergs were aligned just right for this glorious moment to take place
