No Chance in Change

Your life does not get better by chance; it gets better by change.

— Jim Rohn —

I saw the opening quote a couple of days ago while reading during breakfast.

Breakfast for me consists of a hard-boiled egg, a bowl of Steel Cut Oats, and a small can of tomato juice.

Thirty years ago, my breakfast included two ham, egg, and cheese croissants, hash browns, a bag of cini-minis, and a large ice tea…and I ate that breakfast of “champions” Every. Single. Day.

I was so popular at my local Burger King that they gave me a small gift for Christmas…you probably have a problem when… 🙂

Then, I started having sugar problems, and I made a change.

Anyway, about a month ago, I made a minor change to my breakfast menu by eliminating one hard-boiled egg and adding Steel Cut Oats.

I made this adjustment because my cholesterol seems to be teetering on the high side, and research indicates that eating Steel Cut Oats is an effective way to reduce cholesterol in the blood.

Why am I sharing all of this nonsense with you?

Back to the opening quote: Your life, which includes your cholesterol and blood sugar, doesn’t get better by chance; it gets better by change.

What changes do you need to make in your life?

Change happens by stopping the old, starting the new, and continuing with the new.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20, “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”
