Reflection
A couple of days ago, I read an article about the upcoming football season for the Big Ten Conference.
Coach Harbaugh of the “Team Up North” said his Wolverines would beat my Ohio State Buckeyes or die trying…interesting…I wonder if Coach Harbaugh has made his funeral arrangements? 🙂
What caught my eye …
was a statement by Maryland’s coach, Mike Locksley. He said he told the press that it was put up or shut up time for his Maryland Terrapins. This is his third year of being at the helm, and he noted that it takes at least that much time to turn a team around.
Locksley shared that his team has a mantra for this year, and it’s called BCE. No bitchin’, no complainin’, and no excuse makin’.
Thought
Do you know how much more productive people would be if they didn’t bitch, complain or make excuses?
What good comes from bitchin’, complainin’, and makin’ excuses?
The opening quote nails the habit of “BCE” on the head.
If left unchecked, BCEin’ becomes a way of life and often leads to a miserable and unattractive disposition as well as a life that goes nowhere.
Counter…
bitchin’, complainin’, and excuse-makin’ with encouragement, a grateful heart, and a responsible attitude…you will be amazed before you are halfway through.
…I always write from experience.
Oh yeah…do you think “Dr. Rick” from Progressive would allow my kids to hang the sign below in their homes?

Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”
