Step Six: “Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.” Is about becoming fully ready for God to remove our character defects.

Becoming “entirely ready” is about attitude.
Being entirely ready is harder than it sounds. Sometimes we complain about behaviors we’re secretly reluctant to surrender.
Anger can feel powerful.
Resentment can feel justified.
Control can feel safe.
The aforementioned character defects are three of the many I came to grips with four decades ago… and still turn them over to God today when their ugly heads pop up.
Recovery is a verb.
Fact
Recovery asks a deeper question than, “Do I want things to improve?” It asks, “Am I willing to change?” God can transform us, but He rarely forces transformation upon us. Willingness opens the door.
Willingnessis an attitude that leads to life transformation in the Twelve-Step community.
Soul Search
What am I asking God to change while still holding onto it?
