Reflection
Step Four asks us to take a searching and fearless moral inventory… for a full list of the 12 Steps, refer to my September 2 writing.
The word fearless matters. Looking honestly at ourselves can be uncomfortable. We discover resentments, fears, selfishness, wounds, and patterns we’d rather ignore.
But inventory isn’t about condemnation. It’s about clarity.
A store can’t manage what it doesn’t know is on its shelves, and neither can we.
God already knows everything we will uncover and loves us anyway.
Self-awareness isn’t the enemy of self-worth.
It helps make transformation possible.
Soul Search
What recurring pattern in my life deserves an honest look?
“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.” — Psalm 139:23
