Reflection
Step Ten keeps the house clean. We continue taking personal inventory and, when we’re wrong, promptly admit it.
Promptly is the key. Left unattended, little resentments and mistakes grow and our serenity diminishes.
Recovery has taught me that three words can save relationships: “I was wrong.” No excuses. No “but you…” attached.
Owning our mistakes doesn’t make us weak; it makes us trustworthy. We don’t need to defend an image of ourselves anymore. We simply need to keep becoming honest people.

Is there something I need to own today without having to defend myself?
