reVision and Prayerful Movement

Nothing diminishes anxiety faster than action.

— Walter Anderson —

Random thoughts on movement and prayer…

My mind is always “on.”  I cannot afford to sit around and do nothing because when I do, my mind often tries to take me to places that make me anxious.

For me, idle time is the devil’s time.

Even when I wake up in the middle of the night I am thinking.  Sometimes the thoughts are good and sometimes they are not so good.  My not-so-good thoughts are usually born out of some form of fear and end up causing anxiety.  Instead of ruminating on the bad thoughts, I take action and begin praying. Prayer always works.

There is no better remedy to anxiety than purposeful action, and oftentimes there is no better purposeful action than prayer.

Philippians 4:6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  (NIV)
