The Best Leaders

Humility isn't denying your strengths. It's being honest about your weaknesses.

Reflection

The opening quote took me back to my days of leading HealthCare Pharmacy.

I’ve never been one who enjoys paying attention to details. If I have to, I will, but for the most part, I am a big picture, creative, futuristic type of thinker…I thoroughly enjoy using the right side of my brain.

With that being said, when I was leading our pharmacy, I made it a point to surround myself with people who thrived on details…regardless of how much they annoyed me. πŸ™‚

My lack of attention to detail was a weakness of mine, and I knew it, but I also knew I had a responsibility not to let that weakness hamper the advancement of our business.

What are your strengths?

What are your weaknesses?

The most effective leaders work hard to leverage their strengths while humbling themselves to recognize their weaknesses in order that they will not be detrimental to their organization.

For those of you who read this writing and are not in a leadership position…

YOU ARE WRONG!

We all are the leaders of our own lives.
