Past–Don’t Stare

It's okay to look back at the past. Just don't stare.

Reflection

The other day during a class I was teaching, a young lady shared a heart-warming story about how her childhood wasn’t the easiest. But fortunately, she got connected to a local chapter of a national nonprofit agency that lifted her and set her on a path for success.

Once she started traveling on this new journey, she decided she wanted to work for the same nonprofit agency that breathed new energy and direction into her.

Today she is changing lives serving as an executive at the local chapter of the agency that turned her life around.

Now that is a great way to utilize the past!

Question

How is the past serving you?

Truth

If it isn’t serving you well, you are most likely spending too much time staring at it.

Philippians 3:13, “Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.  But one thing I do:  Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.”
